Stanton for Derby

My time spent serving on the Derby City Council has given me a keen perspective on what is required and necessary to carry out the responsibilities of Mayor and to run the city with its full potential. I have been a champion of our local fire department, police department, and public works. All of these fine departments must work together effectively and run smoothly on behalf of the Derby residents. I really care about all of the people who work in Derby!

while I love serving a community which has given so much to my family, my business, and myself. I was honored & humbled by many people who encouraged me to run to be the Mayor of Derby. I was absolutely blown away when I read the Letter to the Editor in the Derby Informer about why I should run to be the first female mayor, EVER, in 154 years.

As the great Dolly Parton once said, “If your actions create a legacy that inspires others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then, you are an excellent leader.”

If running for this position encourages even one little girl to look up, to dream bigger, to achieve more, I will have left a legacy that our community and my daughters deserve.

Going forward I intend to continue to help shape the trajectory of our hometown. I love that Derby has the feel of a small town vibe while continuing to grow with new businesses and residences. People want to live here because of our amazing schools, playgrounds, parks, recreation commission, entertainment, dining, shopping, and employment opportunities. I want Derby to continue to grow while maintaining the infrastructure so that all residents can benefit. I believe in being a positive and encouraging voice for everyone!
